Catherine McAuley was born in Ireland on 29th September 1778. Did you know Catherine McAuley's full name is Catherine Elizabeth McAulay. Catherine McAuley's mum's full name was Elinor Conway McAuley and her dads name is James McAuley. Mr McAuley had started as a carpenter, he became a builder, timber merchant and grazier ending as a country gentlemen on his estate at stormed house in North Dublin.

When Catherine McAuley's parents pasted away she went to go live with the Callaghan family. When Mr Callaghan was close to passing away he was going to give his inheritance to his daughter but he herd her talking baldly about Catherine so he gave all his inheritance to Catherine McAuley.

When Catherine was left the inheritance of Mr Callaghan she built a huge house on budget street and then she would invite the home less and people without jobs to here house and some of the rich people would notice them and feel sorry and from they and would donate money to them for food, clothes and other things. Catherine  McAuley would teach the woman to sew so that they can get jobs and make some money from the work they sell on there stand at the stand they made/brought she would also teach the children how to sew so that they can make some profit to also she would also look after homeless people and give them a place to sleep at night.
